Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Graduate from an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
• Diploma graduate and/or an associate degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients following the nursing process.
• Documentation and medication administration.
• Lead nursing groups and follow program guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment; manage admissions and discharges.
• Use restraint techniques when necessary.
