Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the operating room, offering a 0.6 weekend option and night shift schedule. You will work with OR teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care and adhere to Mercy's standards.

Ideal candidates have an IA RN license, BLS, preferably ACLS within 6 months for OR, and prior OR experience. This part-time role includes a sign-on bonus up to $9,000 and a supportive, collaborative department culture.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months for OR teams.
• Experience in operating room nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate information to patients and families at handoffs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care per plan of care.
• Maintain real-time documentation of nursing care in patient records.
• Supervise other licensed and non-licensed staff providing care.
• Uphold patient safety, quality care, and Mercy policies.
