Northwestern Medicine in DeKalb, Illinois, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical-Oncology In-House Registry Nights. The RN delivers high-quality care during the 3rd shift, using evidence-based nursing processes and collaborating with the care team to support patients and families.

Responsibilities include holistic assessments, care planning, medication administration, and discharge planning. Requires IL RN licensure, CPR-BLS within 30 days, and current area-specific certification;

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
• CPR – Basic Life Support within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Current certification appropriate to work area.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient/family educational needs and readiness to learn.
• Develop and update the plan of care with input from interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education.
