Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department In-House Registry Nights. This casual/per diem, night shift role supports patient care on the 3rd shift, with 1.2 hours per week (0.03 FTE).

The role requires an RN with BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years. Licensure in Illinois, BLS and ER certifications are required; ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC within one year of hire. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment in clinical nurse role.
• Illinois RN licensure required; active licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and determines appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents plan focused on outcomes and decisions.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and documents progress in the health record.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
