Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Madison is seeking a Regular, full-time RN for the night shift in the Intensive Care Unit. The role provides direct nursing care to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions, following hospital policies and protocols.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with no experience required. Active RN license (WI or compact) with BLS HCP; additional certifications (ALS, ENPC/NRP/PALS/TNCC) as applicable ensure high-quality critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.
• Active RN license (WI or compact states).
• Current BLS HCP, ALS, ENPC/NRP/PALS/TNCC as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive data from the patient, family and other providers to develop a holistic view of the patient’s needs.
• Analyzes and synthesizes data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
• Identifies optimal outcomes in collaboration with patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Develops and implements a plan of care, coordinating with patient, family and team.
• Implements the plan to promote a safe environment and coordinates with the team.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and outcomes and adjusts as needed.
• Maintains knowledge and competence, communicates effectively with the team.
• Applies evidence-based practice to nursing care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
