Job summary

HonorHealth's Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an experienced registered nurse for Night shift on the Medical/Surgical Unit-3F-Surgical Oncology. The RN applies ANA standards, administers meds, records histories, and collaborates with physicians to deliver patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes continuous learning, precepting new staff, and contributing to a compassionate, safe hospital environment for stroke patients and beyond. Arizona RN license required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing. All staff who have direct responsibility for the care of stroke patients, please refer to the addendum for stroke education requirements - PRIOR TO START
• BSN within 60 months of hire or 5+ years RN experience
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Registered Nurse license in Arizona upon hire

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and symptoms; assist in diagnostics and treatments.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per policies; monitor for adverse effects.
• Develop, implement, and revise care plans; involve family in care decisions.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, home care, and recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, quality care.
• Precept new staff and students; foster a healthy, collaborative work environment.
