Job summary

HonorHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Surgical Oncology unit at Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. This night shift role supports stroke and general medical/surgical patients with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Complete BSN within 60 months or have 5+ years RN experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN's practice is guided by the ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and Code of Ethics.
• The RN records patients' medical history and symptoms, helps perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical equipment, administer treatment and medications, and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
• The RN establishes a care plan or contributes to an existing plan. The plan may include activities such as administering medications, starting and discontinuing IV lines, and coordinating with physicians and other clinicians.
• The RN teaches patients and families about managing illnesses or injuries, home care needs, and self-administration of therapy.
• The RN precepts new hire staff and students and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
