Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical 6 East unit in Boston. You will deliver patient-centered care on a 36-bed unit, supporting diverse medical-surgical patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS (ACLS in certain units), and a nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN, with BSN completion encouraged within 4 years). Strong communication and computer skills are essential, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required in certain units
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); BSN obtainable within 4 years
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty may be required for some practice areas
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Fluency in another language a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects
