Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical 6 East unit. You will deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices and work within a supportive nursing organization that emphasizes development and growth.

Qualifications include MA RN license, 1+ year experience preferred, BLS/ACLS as required in certain units, and a BSN or ADN with plans to pursue BSN within four years.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
