Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing care during night shifts at the Canistota, SD facility. The role requires collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care using the nursing process.

An RN license and a nationally accredited nursing program are required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. The position offers a 40-hour work week with night differential and location premium, plus a $30,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs.
• Multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and maintain standards of practice.
