Job summary

Baptist Health in Alabama seeks an RN for Nights Fulltime in the Labor & Delivery unit to supervise nursing staff and ensure continuity of patient care. The RN will use the nursing process for assessments, planning, and interventions, and will collaborate with physicians and clinicians to implement patient care plans.

Required is a nursing degree with active RN licensure and BLS; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC) may be required depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending upon area assigned.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and delivery of interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• May have additional duties within the scope of the role.
