Job summary

Copper Springs Avondale is seeking an experienced RN for Intake/Assessment in Behavioral Health. This full-time night-shift role involves front-line assessment, admissions, and coordination of care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will document symptoms, support LOC determinations, and collaborate with physicians while delivering compassionate patient care and a strong focus on safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Arizona (or Compact) license with Arizona endorsement

Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to a request for services, including assessment, referral, level of care designation, admission, and follow-up.
• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates assessment, documents patient symptoms and needs, and informs MD for LOC determination.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors and coworkers promptly and courteously.
• Follows hospital policy for medication administration and ensures patient safety.
• Monitors patient condition and notifies physician as needed.

Associate degree in Nursing
