Job summary
Christiana Care Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intermediate Step-Down Unit (4D) on the Midnight shift. The 35-bed unit serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring Q2–Q4 hour nursing care.
The role includes weekend rotations, holidays, and participation in the clinical ladder for growth. The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus, full medical/dental/vision and life insurance, a 403b retirement plan, generous PTO, tuition assistance, and
Qualifications
- BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
- One year of nursing experience required. Two years' of nursing experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Licensed or license eligibility in the state of Delaware.
- BLS Certification required.
- ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients on a 35-bed Intermediate Care/Stepdown unit (4D).
- Provide nursing interventions every 2–4 hours as needed.
- Overnight shift from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with weekend rotations and holidays per policy.
- Participate in the clinical ladder and growth opportunities.
