Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intermediate Step-Down Unit (4D). This part-time position covers overnights (7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) with a weekend rotation and holidays per policy.

The 35-bed unit cares for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients requiring nursing interventions every 2 to 4 hours. The role offers Magnet-status hospital perks, clinical ladder growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
• One year of nursing experience required. Two years' of nursing experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Licensed or license eligibility in the state of Delaware.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Cares for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients on a step-down unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status on a Q2-Q4 hour basis.
• Provide nursing care on the 4D Surgical Intermediate Step-Down Unit with overnight coverage.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

This is a 35-bed Intermediate Care/Stepdown inpatient unit, caring for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This unit cares for patients requiring nursing interventions Q2-Q4 hours. Requirements

Hours: This is a part-time position of 48 hours per pay/24 hours per week. The hours for this position are Overnights of 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. This requires a weekend rotation and follows internal weekend requirement practice. Holidays required per organization policy.

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
