RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology Unit – MCC 10 at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, collaborate with physicians, and guide patients through complex cancer care pathways.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement in a 31-bed unit offering CAR T-cell therapy and BMT services. Strong clinical judgment and compassionate communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing is required.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire.
• National Board Certification and ACLS preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Oncology or BMTU Certification highly preferred.
• Comfort with EPIC EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR for continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds to drive seamless communication.
• Collaborate within a highly collaborative team to improve outcomes.
• Pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
