Job summary

University Behavioral Health of Denton is seeking a Registered Nurse for a TEMPORARY 16-WEEK ASSIGNMENT. The RN will coordinate and evaluate patient care, working closely with the health team.

This non-benefits role supports psychiatric care for adolescents and adults, with a 12-hour night shift schedule and weekend rotations. Qualified candidates must have an accredited nursing degree and Texas RN licensure, plus CPR and de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Texas or eligible for licensure.
• CPR certification and ER/psychiatric care readiness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff deliver care per Standards of Care and Practice.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state, and patient rights standards.
• Ensure Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management procedures.
• Document patient information and nursing care accurately.
