Responsibilities

• Delivers all aspects of Respiratory Care to all age groups.
• Assists in orientation and training of new staff and acts as a resource.
• Cross trains in other areas and may float to fulfill hospital needs.
• Participates in department QI studies, inservices, and meetings.
• Recognizes signs of stroke and initiates stroke alert process.
• Assesses airway, assists with intubation, and transports intubated stroke patients.
• Maintains currency in stroke knowledge via annual online training.
