Job summary

Select Medical in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to work per diem/PRN. The role focuses on ventilator management, airway maintenance, pulmonary assessment, and ventilator weaning, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule is 6:00PM-6:00AM at SSH - Milwaukee - West Allis. Compensation is $46.00 per hour with weekend/night differentials, and a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire (agency RT first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using RT protocols to liberate patients from mechanical ventilation and adjust treatment plans within scope.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform bronchoscopies.
• Perform arterial blood gases.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
