Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts (3rd shift, 7pm–7am) at 36 hours per week. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care, operate ventilators, administer therapies, educate patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

Requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and NBRC/ABLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/NPS certifications as listed.

Formación

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• CRT NBRC certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, ACCS, NRP and NPS certifications to be obtained within stated timelines.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care.
• Operate ventilators and assist physicians with procedures.
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and clean equipment.
• Educate patients on therapy goals and self-care.
• Collaborate with departments for patient management.
• Adhere to safety and departmental policies across sites.
• Assess age-specific needs and adapt care accordingly.
