Job summary

Interfaith Community Services in Escondido, CA, is hiring a Resident Coordinator for its Detox Program. You will oversee a safe living environment, coordinate services with case managers, and support residents on pathways to self-sufficiency. The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/BLS/First Aid, and experience with vulnerable populations.

Spanish/English bilinguals are preferred. Shifts include evenings and weekends with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certificate/s to be completed within three (3) months of hire
• Minimum 1 year experience working with severely mentally ill, medically fragile, and/or homeless populations preferred
• Knowledge of alcohol and other drug recovery fields, preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English), preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with client intakes, transfers, coordination of services, and discharges.
• Acclimate new clients to living arrangements and orient them to program policies, procedures, and shelter rules.
• Monitor resident behavior, interactions, and overall well-being, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Respond appropriately to crisis situations, including de-escalation and safety/risk assessments, following established protocols.
• Maintain a drug-, alcohol-, and violence-free environment in accordance with program policies, report any concerns immediately.
