Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with client intakes, transfers, coordination of services, and discharges.
• Acclimate new clients to living arrangements and orient them to program policies and shelter rules.
• Monitor resident behavior, interactions, and overall well-being, addressing concerns promptly.
• Respond to crisis situations with de-escalation and safety assessments per protocols.
• Notify supervisors of problematic behaviors, compliance issues, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a drug-, alcohol-, and violence-free environment per policies; report concerns.
• Administer First Aid/CPR as needed and follow emergency protocols.
• Coordinate with emergency services and provide timely information.
• Keep hallways and common areas clean and free of hazards; assist with cleaning when needed.
• Prepare rooms and beds for new admissions or client exits.
• Support clients in appointments, transportation, and related services.
• Provide support in therapeutic activities within program policy guidelines.
• Accompany clients to appointments for support as needed.
• Review and update daily logbooks; brief shifts on relevant issues.
• Record emergencies, incidents, and notable events during shifts.
• Escalate operational concerns and client needs to supervisory staff promptly.
• Participate in care meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and required staff trainings.
