Job summary

Mars, Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Leader for its Topeka, Kansas manufacturing plant. You will lead a skilled maintenance team, implement TPM/Lean strategies, and drive safety, quality, and cost performance. This role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume environment.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a technical-related discipline or 10+ years in a technical field of work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of recent experience in a progressive technical leadership capacity in manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Experience with operating within TPM, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement environments.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a maintenance team, including equipment breakdown repair, preventative maintenance and cost management.
  • Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely and efficiently; troubleshoot plant equipment.
  • Set up, maintain PM systems, inspection routines, inventory control, scheduling and staff training.
  • Lead projects aimed at asset improvement and reliability; manage capital project forecasts and budgets.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs in production areas.
