Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Reliability Technician for our Kansas City area facility. You will provide hands-on technical support on the production floor, build the team’s maintenance capabilities, troubleshoot equipment, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency targets.

You will lead root-cause analysis, perform preventive maintenance using SAP, and mentor fellow technicians to foster technical excellence. This role requires rotating shifts and adherence to GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
{Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and schematics}.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work rotating shifts.
Preferred TPM experience and safety focus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems.
Perform and document mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance using SAP.
Lead breakdown analysis and root-cause problem-solving to reduce production losses.
Coach and mentor other technicians to enhance troubleshooting and repair skills.
Uphold plant safety and GMP requirements, including LOTO and Confined Space procedures.
