Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to provide direct supervision and support within our inpatient behavioral health, mental health, and substance use treatment programs. The role focuses on safety, engagement, and day-to-day operational support in a structured, therapeutic environment.

As a key member of the treatment team, the RSS will spend time with patients, observe behaviors, document observations, and assist clinical staff while promoting

Qualifications

• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.
• Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior and report concerns to staff.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques per protocols.
• Assist admissions, discharges, and patient movement as assigned.
• Support daily milieu activities and treatment programming.
