Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to provide direct support within inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment programs. Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.
• 21+ age with valid driver’s license when driving is assigned.
• Experience in behavioral health or related settings preferred.
• Ability to stay professional and calm in high-stress or crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior and environment; document observations and report concerns.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and follow emergency protocols.
• Ensure adherence to facility rules while maintaining a therapeutic approach.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, patient movement, and activities.
