Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to provide direct support and supervision within our inpatient behavioral health, mental health, and substance use treatment programs. This role focuses on patient safety, engagement, and daily operational support while fostering a structured, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 21 and valid driver's license if driving is required.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use, or mental health settings preferred.
• Ability to work on a team in a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior and document observations for clinical staff.
• Respond to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and daily activities.
• Support transportation and facility operations as needed.
