Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to provide direct support and supervision within our inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment programs in Baldwinville, MA. This role focuses on patient safety, engagement, and daily operational support in a structured, therapeutic recovery environment.

The RSS will work closely with the treatment team, observe patient behavior, document observations, assist with admissions and patient transfers,

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.
• Minimum age of 21 and driving requirements if applicable.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or mental health settings preferred.
• Experience in detoxification and/or residential care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior and document observations for clinical staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient movements.
• Support patient engagement in treatment programming and daily routines.
• Communicate patient information to the treatment team to ensure coordinated care.
