Job summary

Mental Health Association - Western MA seeks a Residential Recovery Specialist (RRS) to support residents in a safe, trauma-informed environment and help implement individualized treatment plans. Duties include daily living tasks, recovery activities, and medication administration per MAP certification.

The GRIT program offers residential rehab with housing in Springfield and Holyoke, backed by a multidisciplinary team focused on recovery, personal growth, and aftercare planning.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident activities support program policies and goals.
• Provide trauma-informed, gender-responsive support, including crisis intervention.
• Assist with daily living tasks and independent living skills.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate groups and structured program activities.
• Transport residents as needed and maintain safe spaces.
• Document resident progress and promote recovery-oriented care.
