Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced RN for the Rapid Response Team (RRT) to coordinate assessments, interventions, and follow-up, ensuring timely, age-appropriate care. The role emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice in a fast-paced environment.

Expect responsibilities in data collection, staff education, and guideline development, with a focus on quality patient outcomes and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or privilege to practice in Georgia under eNLC – required at hire.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required on hire (ACLS-I optional).
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to Rapid Response Team calls.
• Coordinates patient care during events including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, and other disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Intervenes in patient crisis to promote quality patient care.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the patient chart.
• Develops and implements RRT practice guidelines and monitors outcomes.
• Educates patients, families, and staff about RRT processes.
