Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health’s The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT scans and provide direct patient care in a compassionate, timely manner. The role requires 1 year of CT or Radiology tech experience, ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification, BLS, and CT modality registration (preferred or within two years).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
• BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within two years).
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed).
• 1 year of experience as CT or Rad Tech (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assures the quality of all images and confirms that all pertinent patient/procedural data is correct.
• Performs CT procedures.
• Performs timeout as required per policy.
• Positions patients on CT scanning cradles and immobilizes patients.
• Makes radiation exposures by energizing scanner per physician request and patient history.
• Performs intravenous injections and demonstrates a knowledge of use and care of IVs, administers contrast agents.
• Assists the radiologist with biopsies, drainage procedures, etc. using sterile techniques.
• Maintains working knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
• Participates in on-call rotation as required.
