Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Blackfoot, ID area is seeking skilled Quality Inspectors (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural & Civil) to join our team on a nightly 5pm-3am shift. You will inspect and test materials, oversee construction activities, and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in quality inspection, strong attention to detail, and the ability to travel to various job sites with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in quality inspection.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and standards.
• Proficient with inspection tools and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of works and structures to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Perform material testing and analysis, and other relevant assessments.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality control plans and procedures.
• Identify and document defects or non-conformities, and work with the construction team to implement corrective actions.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports on findings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
