Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC. is seeking a quality control technician to test and inspect products at various stages of the batching and production process, ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.

You will calibrate lab equipment, prepare samples, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with the team to resolve quality issues, all while working with accuracy and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary related education preferred.
• 1–3 years in food manufacturing, laboratory or QA roles.
• Certification/licensing may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of batch preparation and QC activities, including inspection and evaluation to meet standards.
• Test incoming/outgoing products for suitability and compliance with standards.
• Perform sample setup, preparation and cleanup; calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation.
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values; monitor quality problems or trends.
• Maintain lab records and complete required paperwork accurately, timely, and completely.
• Prepare reports of results and maintain process control with statistical information.
• Participate in meetings; suggest changes to improve efficiency and equipment use.
• Daily cleaning of the task area; CIP cleaning of areas and glassware maintenance.
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Follow GMPs and corporate regulatory, food safety, sanitation requirements.
