Job summary

Legends is seeking a Part Time Public Safety Officer for the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ. This 3rd shift role supports event and daily operations, monitoring posts, handling emergencies, and assisting guests with directions and information.

Responsibilities include crowd control, access security, interior/exterior patrols, door locking, and coordination with staff and emergency responders. English communication and a professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of public safety or security experience, preferably in a similar environment.
• Customer service background or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitors assigned posts and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security.
• Responds to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, alarms, and other situations.
• Assists with crowd management, access control, line control, and enforcement of facility rules.
• Conducts routine interior and exterior property patrols and identifies safety concerns.
• Locks and unlocks facility doors, gates, and operational areas as required by schedules.
• Maintains awareness of emergency exits, evacuation procedures, and safety protocols.
• Provides directions and general assistance to guests and staff.
• Communicates effectively via two-way radio, telephone, and in person.
