Job summary

Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, ME is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I for the night shift. This full-time role runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a competitive hourly wage and a sign-on bonus.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to respond to patient needs, assist with activities of daily living, and document care per policy. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Interdisciplinary teamwork and patient-centered care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carries out daily patient assignment and assists other staff.
• Responds to patient calls for assistance.
• Assists with ADLs and documents care per policy.
• Monitors food and fluid intake and reports dietary concerns.
• Accompanies patients to appointments and activities.
• Documents patient care accurately per nursing standards.
• Supports patient participation in milieu activities.
• Escalates changes in patient status to the charge nurse.
• Participates in team meetings and shift handoffs.
