Job summary

MaineHealth's Spring Harbor Hospital is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I to help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.

The role includes direct patient care, emotional support, data collection, and accurate documentation, with opportunities to work alongside nurses and clinicians in behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current RQI/BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start. Completion of CPI/MOAB training within 60 days of start.
• Experience: Less than six (6) months of experience as a Psychiatric Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and emotional support.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Observe and report changes in patient behavior.
• Support activities of daily living and facilitate groups.
• Document data and observations accurately.
