Job summary

Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, ME is seeking a Psychiatric Technician for the Pediatric Day Treatment Clinic. The role offers a 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule and a $18.50–$22.10 hourly salary with a 40-hour week, plus a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; no previous psychiatric experience necessary.
• Supports patient care under supervision toDevelop skills in milieu-based care.
• Ability to work within an inter-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily patient assignments and assist other staff as needed.
• Respond to patient calls for assistance.
• Assist with ADLs and dietary needs as directed.
• Document patient care accurately per policy and procedures.
• Co-facilitate groups with nursing staff as assigned.
• Attend shift change reports and team meetings.
• Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and maintain boundaries.
