Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, ME is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I for the Pediatric unit. This full-time role supports patients with mental health needs, assists with activities of daily living, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team under supervision.

You will work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, earn a salary of $20.00 to $21.08 per hour, and may qualify for a sign-on bonus. A GED is required, and strong communication and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare or behavioral health preferred.
• Ability to work night shift.

Responsabilités

• Monitors patients' physical and emotional well-being and reports changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.
• Responds to patient needs taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
• Takes a mindful and thoughtful approach to all patient interactions, maintains appropriate boundaries.
• Functions within the patient care team focusing on successful treatment and stabilization.
• Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
• May perform other duties upon request.
