Job summary

Jobtailor in Minnesota seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the production rooms and to develop and manage the production team.

You will motivate safety and continuous improvement culture, strive to meet operating goals for growth, train staff on safe practices, and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
• Proven ability to train and mentor operators and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of production rooms to maximize efficiency.
• Develop and manage the production team and assign responsibilities.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture.
• Work to achieve operating goals aligned with growth expectations.
• Train department staff on safe work practices and standard procedures.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Ensure adherence to food GMPs where applicable (if relevant).
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the production rooms
• Development and management of the production team
• Motivating the safety and continuous improvement culture
• Achieving operating goals to meet growth expectations
• Training all department employees on safe work practices
• Ensuring an organized, clean and safe work environment
• Follow all Food safety practices and processes applicable to the department
• Build and maintain a high-performance team environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Solid background/work experience in manufacturing (2+ years)
• 2+ years leadership experience
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and 5S organizational tools
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP)
• Mechanical aptitude/trouble‑shooting ability
• Knowledge of food GMPs a plus
• Training and mentoring mindset with constant operator training
