Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a highly experienced RN for night shift PRN/Nights at our facilities. The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based nursing, patient and family partnership, and adherence to clinical standards in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years of direct patient care, with ACLS/BLS and RN licensure on hire, and will contribute to performance improvement and education of peers in a dynamic health system.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree in Nursing or Diploma; Bachelors preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of direct patient care experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RN or RN-COMPACT required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) with evidence-based practice.
• Delivers patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity and age considerations.
• Partners with patients and families using bedside shift reports and rounds to align goals with care.
• Practices according to current clinical standards.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and ensures timely documentation.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance within the care system.
• Acts as a preceptor/mentor to staff or students to strengthen the workforce.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in data collection and research.
• Plans care across the continuum and helps develop protocols to improve outcomes.
• Complies with policy, standards and code of conduct.
