The role involves setting up and managing respiratory care, ventilators, and related diagnostics for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, with procedures performed across general and critical care areas.

You will evaluate therapeutic objectives, transcribe orders, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist eligible to practice in Arizona.
• Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory care.
• Proficient with arterial blood gas analysis and related testing.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and administers respiratory care equipment and procedures for diagnosis and treatment.
• Evaluates therapeutic objectives and outcomes; transcribes verbal orders.
• Performs arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, co-oximetry, ECGs, and basic pulmonary tests.
• Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators; ensures airway patency and humidification.
• Assists with transport of ventilated patients and participates in resuscitations when needed.
• Delivers routine respiratory care and oxygen therapy across age groups; documents patient responses.
