Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Imaging Technologist to perform CT and X-ray procedures at a high standard of care. The role requires operating all imaging equipment, maintaining records, and ensuring timely communication with physicians.

This PRN, night-shift position emphasizes proficiency in radiology, PACS, and quality control, with flexibility to travel between facility locations. A radiologic technology credential and ARRT registration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AMA-approved Radiology Technology program graduate required.
• Associate’s degree in Radiology preferred.
• ARRT certification in radiography required.
• ARRT CT certification preferred; CT cert required within 12 months in some markets.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience preferred.
• 1+ years CT experience preferred.
• 1+ years ER experience preferred.
• Proficiency with X-ray/CT equipment, hardware/software and PACS.
• Fluency in English, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to physicians, nurses and staff.
• Operate X-ray, CT, CR reader and PACS equipment.
• Perform imaging exams per policies and notify physician on duty of results.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under supervision of physician/nurse.
• Maintain documentation, logs, charts, forms and records.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per COLA/CLIA policies.
• Maintain reagents and supplies to perform quality testing.
• Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
• Perform Quality Control as established by the facility.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

AMA-approved Radiology Technology program

Associate’s degree in Radiology

ARRT certification in Radiography

ARRT CT certification (preferred)

Current BLS certification
