Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Minnesota is seeking a Live Receiving team member for night shift duties. You will perform live hang and back-up finishing with a focus on Animal Welfare standards, operate a forklift, and load/unload drawers from shuttle trucks. Maintain a clean work area and report equipment issues promptly.

The role requires a HS diploma, poultry/manufacturing experience is a plus, and the environment can be dusty and hot.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry, live animal or manufacturing experience is a plus; forklift experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to multitask, good communication, instruction comprehension, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Physical requirements: Ability to work in a dusty, hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Live hang
• Back-up the finishing machine to ensure all birds meet Animal Welfare standards
• Forklift driver
• Loading and unloading drawers
• Safely and efficiently load and unload drawers of birds off the shuttle trucks
• Keep work area clean and picked up at all times
• Reports any equipment damage or potential mechanical problems to the supervisor or lead person immediately
• Other duties as required
