Job summary

Corewell Health in Dearborn seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders during the full-time night shift at the Care Center. Responsibilities include polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services, patient education, and potential supervision of staff.

The role requires 1 year of relevant experience, a current BLS certification, and preferred BRPT/CPSGT or NBRC credentials.

Qualifications

• Polysomnography program training or enrollment in a CAHEAP/CoARC polysomnography option program.
• A-Step modules to be completed if not registered tech.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1–3 years of relevant polysomnography experience.
• BRPT/CPSGT preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services as assigned.
• Provide patient care and education during sleep studies.
• Supervise other staff where applicable and maintain compliance with sleep lab protocols.

Education

Formal polysomnography program training or enrolled in a CAAHEP/CoARC program with polysomnography option

A-STEP online Self Study Modules completion within two years

American Heart Association BLS Provider certification

1 year to 3 years of relevant experience

BRPT/ CPSGT preferred upon hire

NBRC CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry option upon hire

ARRT/ ABBREVIATED sleep tech credentials upon hire
