Strong LIS/HIS skills and accurate patient data handling are essential. Responsibilities include specimen labeling, data entry, order confirmation, and coordination with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy course or related experience preferred.
• Experience with Hospital Information System (HIS) and Laboratory Information System (LIS) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on patients and collect specimens per procedure.
• Register patients, collect payments, and enter demographic/insurance data.
• Operate HIS/LIS to release orders and register patients as needed.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.
• Prepare and label specimens accurately with patient identifiers.
• Assist with specimen processing and transport to the appropriate department.
