Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy program is preferred.
• CPR certification is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately within established turn-around times.
• Transports specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner and ensures specimen integrity.
• Maintains documentation for medical necessity and HIPAA privacy standards.
• Assists with safety and infection control policies and uses AIDET when interacting with patients.
• Provides courteous, professional patient interaction and supports Laboratory leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned by laboratory leadership.
