Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a certified phlebotomy program is preferred.
• Phlebotomy externship or one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately and within established turn-around times.
• Transports and processes specimens with proper documentation.
• Maintains specimen integrity and HIPAA privacy standards.
• Answers calls and provides information in a courteous, professional manner.
• Supports infection control and safety policies of the hospital and laboratory.
