Job summary

Tenet Healthcare Corporation seeks a Pharmacy Technician for night shifts at St. Marys Medical Center in West Palm Beach. You will assist pharmacists with dispensing, inventory, sterile compounding, and IV admixture under supervision.

Required FL Pharmacy Technician or intern license, 18+ years old; hospital experience preferred. Eligible for benefits as part of a large health system, with growth opportunities and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician or Intern Licensee.
• Preferred: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB.
• Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture Certification.

Responsibilities

• Fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity.
• Stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) timely.
• Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits accurately.
• Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain records.
• Respond to STAT orders, routine orders, department requests, and ADC stock out bulletins.
• Ensure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
• Stock medications into pharmacy inventory, including sterile areas.
• Maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Attend to medication requests and phone calls.
• Prepare simple IV admixtures (excluding chemotherapy/biotherapy) per policy.
• Comply with state/federal regulations and Tenet policies.
