Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels (CSRH-NB) is seeking a perinatal RN to join our team for the 7PM–7AM shift on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will practice independently, applying nursing process steps across diagnoses and emergency/clinical settings, with a focus on high-quality patient and family-centered care.

Requirements include a BSN preferred and RN licensure in the state of employment, plus BLS and specialties’ certifications as outlined.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identifies issues and resources.
