Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in a full-service hospital setting. The RN will work within the 7PM-7AM shifts, applying the nursing process for assigned patients and coordinating with the care team to meet clinical goals.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and addressing the evolving needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications required or to be obtained.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred in related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications and care given.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers on learning needs and resources.
