Job summary

Lignetics Inc. is seeking a Mill Equipment Operator for the 3rd shift. The role includes operating and adjusting three pellet mills, performing QC tests on pellets, and monitoring moisture and material quality. The position requires lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing ladders, and maintaining high safety standards.

The job offers full-time hours, a night shift from 10 pm to 6 am, and a comprehensive benefits package. Pre-employment background checks and drug screens are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
• Requires a high degree of technical, analytical skills.
• Must be able to pass the company forklift certification.
• Requires lifting up to 80 lbs safely, nearly waist-high, and standing for up to 12 hours per day.
• Requires ability to use catwalks and climb ladders up to 30 feet high.
• Requires mechanical and troubleshooting skills to solve pellet mill maintenance problems.
• Requires the ability to do simple to basic math calculations.
• Requires working in a high temperature/ humidity area and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust 3 pellet mills.
• Perform QC testing of finished pellets.
• Test incoming raw material and moisture content.
• Perform roll changes on pellet mills using overhead hoist.
• Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust rolls/dies accordingly.
• Keep a clean work area around the mill room.
• Assist dryer operator to maintain moisture between 4–4.5%.
• Record pellet durability, fines volume, and diameter; perform soak tests.
